Bar Margaux
Subterranean French bistro Bar Margaux is getting in on the NYE action with two celebratory set-menu options, starting at $50. On the lighter end, you’ll receive a chef’s selection of four canapes and a glass of champagne at the bar. But if you’d like to linger a while longer over dinner, go for the decadent four-course option, which also includes a glass of champagne and an amuse-bouche for $130.

Reservations from 5pm. Bookings and more information here.

Stokehouse
Magnums of champagne, caviar bumps, four courses of ocean-fresh seafood, and stunning ocean views – that’s what you’re signing up for with Stokehouse’s New Year’s Eve spectacular. The evening is all about luxury, indulgence and forgetting the year that was.

From 7.30pm. $350 per person (including pre-dinner drinks). Bookings and more information here.

David’s
David’s in Prahran serves some of the city’s best Shanghai-style yum cha, and its nine-course New Year’s Eve banquet will be no different. This year, there’ll be an impressive spread of pan-fried pork buns, Peking duck, soy-and-ginger-glazed pork belly, white-chocolate dumplings with coconut praline, plus unlimited sparkling wine. Yes.

Sittings at 6pm and 8pm. $115 per person. Bookings and more information here.

Welcome to Brunswick
You could host your own backyard barbie this New Year’s. Or you could save yourself the hassle and go to Welcome to Brunswick instead. Starting at $99, the casual dining and drinks packages include food from the venue’s charcoal barbeque or Mr Burger, plus unlimited wine and 4 Pines beer. A handful of classic backyard games will be available to play, too.

Reservations from 8pm. The basic package costs $99 per person and includes four hours of unlimited beer and wine, and food; the premium package costs $139 and includes unlimited spirits. Bookings and more information here.

PARTY

Hope St Radio
Known for its community-driven live broadcasts, Collingwood Yards’ resident wine bar Hope St Radio is promising a playful night of music and mischief with its “New Year New Shit Me” party. Come for the DJ sets, oysters and champagne – stay for a ride on the mechanical bull (yes, a mechanical bull).

From 5pm. $68 per person (including champagne, oysters and snacks). Bookings and more information here.

The Everleigh
Party like it’s 1966 at the Everleigh’s Black & White Ball, inspired by Truman Capote’s lavish masquerade party of the same name. Accordingly, the dress code is strictly black (and white) tie – and it’s a BYO mask situation. Tickets include a variety of snacks throughout the evening, a midnight champagne toast and four cocktails.

From 9pm. $125 per person. Bookings and more information here.

Ponyfish Island
In the middle of the Yarra, Palm Springs-inspired floating bar Ponyfish Island is hosting an all-inclusive New Year’s Eve party under the stars. For four hours, you’ll be served unlimited wine, beer and non-alcoholic bevs, plus pizza and live entertainment. The venue is also a great place to catch the drone show over Docklands.

From 8pm. $180 per person. Bookings and more information here.

Stomping Ground
It doesn’t need to be all champagne and cocktails as you ring in 2022. If you’re more of a beer person, head to Stomping Ground for an all-inclusive “NYE Like It Used To Be” party, featuring canapes, DJs and five hours of free-flowing booze (not just beer, though). There’s no set dress code, but there will be prizes awarded for the best looks of the night.

From 8pm at both the Collingwood and new Moorabbin locations. $150 per person. Bookings and more information here.

Moon Dog World
Moon Dog OG’s out-of-this-world Preston sibling Moon Dog World is also hosting a beer-centric New Year’s Eve party, and entry is free (though table bookings are required). There’ll be a set by electro act Airwolf Paradise – and for something a bit tamer, follow it up with a child-friendly indoor petting zoo on New Year’s Day.

Reservations from 5pm. Bookings and more information here.
