RivaReno Gelato Opening at Barangaroo
Darlinghurst gelateria RivaReno will open a storefront at Barangaroo in April. Owner Kieran Tosolini was interested in being a part of the Barangaroo restaurant hub, but never thought he would be approached.
“I thought I’d missed the boat. I was very keen to get on board. Everyone who has tried our product knows and loves it,” says Tosolini. “LendLease contacted me and said, ‘You keep popping up as the best gelato in town’.”
The Barangaroo cafe will serve crepes, waffles and a traditional Italian breakfast menu, including coffee. The same high quality, freshly made gelato you can get at the Darlinghurst store will also be there. For lazy summer afternoons, it’s creating a range of alcoholic granitas such as mojito and blood-orange piña colada.
The team is redesigning its look, using warm tones, wood and marble. It will then replicate the fit-out in their Darlinghurst store, giving it a more contemporary look.
RivaReno Barangaroo will open April 1 2016.
