Dine Out: The Old Fitzroy Hotel Brings Back Laksa
The Old Fitzroy’s iconic neon teacup sign is a tribute to the pub’s laksa – a menu favourite that hasn’t been on the menu since the early 2000s.
Longstanding patrons still enquire about it every week. Chefs past and present have considered putting it back on the menu. Now, for one night only as part of Broadsheet ’s debut Dine Out festival, the legendary dish is coming back.
Head to the pub on Wednesday, August 13 for a $24 bowl of silky rice noodles, roasted chicken thigh and fried tofu, all swimming in a fragrant coconut broth and topped with coriander, bean sprouts, lime and chilli. (The regular pub menu will also be available on the night.)
Available from 5pm until sold out. Walk-ins welcome, bookings are encouraged.
