What’s happening around town

• Japanese ice-cream shop Kori founders Joane Yeoh and Bernard Chu have partnered with Takahide Kobayashi, founder of Japanese brand Iyoshi Cola, to create five desserts and two drinks. They’re all available at both Kori locations in the CBD and Hawthorn until Tuesday December 3. Expect a cola float, cola purin (custard pudding), cola sorbet with ground peppercorns on top, and yuzu spritz sorbet with cola syrup and finger lime.

• A vegan guava tart inspired by rolled Brazilian layer cake bolo de rolo made in collaboration with Tarts Anon is back on the menu at Shannon Martinez’s Lona Misa. It’s part of the vegan restaurant’s greatest hits menu, available until the end of the month.

The Tivoli Road Bakery authors Michael and Pippa James are collaborating at Sundae School Ice-Creamery in Fitzroy North this Saturday from midday to celebrate the release of their new baking book Sweet Seasons. Stop by for chocolate brownie cookie ice-cream sandwiches filled with raspberry and lemon thyme jam ice-cream.
