The Dip 10-Year Anniversary at Mary’s Underground for Sydney Solstice
Secret Sounds is hosting a new Supper Club event series, as part of Sydney Solstice, to celebrate that quintessential pairing: music and food. Over three dinners and one brunch, it’s bringing together musicians with top chefs for concept-fuelled meals that combine great eats with a dose of nostalgia and plenty of fun tunes.
Relive all your early-2010s nostalgia with the one-night-only return of The Dip – the American-style diner that was housed inside beloved (and sorely missed) Goodgod Small Club in the CBD.
Run by Andrew and Bianca Levins, it served up drinking-friendly dishes including burgers, hot dogs and southern US-style barbeque. For its 10-year anniversary, Andrew has enlisted the services of his talented mates. Acme’s Mitch Orr and Automata’s Clayton Wells will create their own takes on the humble hot dog.
And if you’re still missing the good-times tunes that Goodgod traded in, some of the club’s regular DJs will be playing on the night, including Hoops (Nina Las Vegas, Anna Lunue and Bad Ezzy), Joyride, Mitch Orr, Halfway Crooks (DJ Levins and Captain Franco) and Ariane.
