Gluttony On Tour Brings Adelaide Fringe to Melbourne
If you didn’t make it to Adelaide for Fringe, there’s no reason to despair. Gluttony on Tour is bringing a bunch of the most popular acts to Victoria – from award-winning popstars to Harry Potter-themed improv shows – for a five-day festival of live music, comedy and burlesque under the dome at Croydon Park.
Gala Night on Wednesday April 6 opens the festival, acting as a taster for the remainder of the week. On Thursday April 7 catch the bombastic Rebel, a David Bowie Circus Rock Tribute show, as well as “foul-mouthed songstress” Minnie Andrews hosting Shake It, a variety show of burlesque and adult circus.
Friday April 8 will see comedy hypnotist Matt Hale take the stage for an all-ages show, as well as Australian Idol alumnus Paulini joing The Voice’s Prinnie Stevens for Ladies Night a tribute to divas like Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Beyoncé, Tina Turner and more.
On Saturday April 9 see the likes of Riot City Wrestling; the 11-year strong variety show Petit Circus: Bon Appetit; acrobatic show Defiant; and cabaret production Yummy. Then on the final day, catch the interactive (and very slimy) Grossed Out Game Show; lavish circus show Opulence; and Harry Potter-themed comedy option Completely Improvised Potter.
Food and drink options across the five days include acai bowls by Acai Brothers, burgers by Mad Patties, French fare by local venue Mon Poulet, ice cream by Clark’s Ice Cream, an exclusive ‘Gluttony Beer’ brew by Public Brewing Co and wine by De Bortoli.
