A huge rooftop infinity pool – perhaps the biggest in Australia, by surface area – is coming to Melbourne.
It’ll be 35 metres long and 15 storeys high – surrounded by luxurious sun lounges and cabanas and with a sky-high restaurant and bar overlooking the water.
It’s the pièce de résistance of a new $340 million dual-tower Docklands development.

SIGN UPBehind it is Capital Alliance – the local developer responsible for the recently opened Marriott hotel nearby, which has a smaller 28-metre infinity pool – and TFE Hotels, which has a stable including Brisbane’s Calile and Auckland’s Britomart.
Set for completion in 2026, the Pearl River Road project is the fourth mixed-used hotel development for Capital Alliance. And it’s just one in a raft of ambitious developments slated for Melbourne right now.
TFE Hotels will operate the development’s two accommodation towers under the A by Adina and Collection by TFE Hotels banners. They’ll be linked by a sky bridge that will house a 1000-person conference centre with 360-degree views of Melbourne’s skyline.
The development will also include a day spa, restaurant precinct and retail offering.
It’s the last Docklands site set for development by Capital Alliance – and it’s going out with a bang. According to CEO Mohan Du, “As the saying goes, you save the best for last and these one-of-a-kind hotels will be uniquely different to other accommodation offerings in Melbourne.”
The Pearl River Road project is set to open in 2026.
