The Design Files Open House
The Design Files has announced the return of The Design Files Open House, an event showcasing more than 60 Australian makers, designers and artists.
Stylist and set dresser Lucy Feagins founded the Australian design blog in 2008 and after a two-year hiatus is presenting another Open House.
The Contemporary Arts Precinct will host the open-plan layout with master bedroom, kids space, contemporary living and dining area, home bar, kitchen and courtyard by local landscape designer Phillip Withers.
Other key creatives involved include artists Stephen Baker and Fred Fowler; contemporary furniture designer Ross Dardam; stonemason and artist behind Den Holm Steven John Clark; photographer and ceramicist Nicolette Johnson; and glassmaker Mark Douglass.
Open to the public for four days only, everything from the artwork to the custom-designed kitchen by local kitchen manufacturer Cantilever can be bought on the spot.
A program of talks and workshops is also running.
Open 10am–5pm.
