Broadsheet’s Mulled Wine and Hot Chocolate at Gertrude Street Projection Festival

There’s a cold snap coming, and it will help to have something warm to wrap your hands around while you’re wandering the Gertrude Street Projection Festival. That’s where we come in.

In the car park next to our pop-up restaurant at 166 Gertrude Street, we’ll be serving takeaway mulled wine and hot chocolate. The outdoor space will be set up with plenty of gas heaters to keep you toasty, and seating so you can enjoy the Culture Mechanics’ Broadsheet-sponsored projections on the side of The Broadsheet Restaurant. From there, have a wander around the festival and then come back to the restaurant for a warming curry or tender beef rib. The Restaurant will be open as normal.

Broadsheet brought the Queensland-based art collective over to Melbourne for the festival. The visual artists will project an original work that people can interact with using their bodies and video-mapping software via an Xbox Connect system.

The mulled wine will be a special winter concoction by our bartender friend at The Beaufort, Dave Kerr, while rich hot chocolate will be by East Brunswick chocolatiers, Monsieur Truffe.
