The Necks

Typically a gig by The Necks begins with one of the band’s members playing a simple piece of music. Slowly the others that make up the trio will join in with their respective instruments. They play independently but in sync – it’s a new age sound. Over the past decades the group has garnered a cult following for their exhilarating lengthy pieces (tracks can reach an hour in length). It’s not conventional live performance and their deceptively simple samples have led to the label “trance jazz”.
