Encouraging people to consider the environmental impacts of their food choices with this year’s theme of sustainable seafood, Sustainable Table are running their dinner party campaign from October 7th-14th.

The not-for-profit organisation are all about encouraging people to use their shopping habits to vote for a food system that is fair, humane, healthy and good for the environment.

By hosting a dinner party during this time and lodging your party with Sustainable Table, they will send you out a package detailing how to prepare a sustainable seafood meal and you get your dinner guests to donate what they would have spent on the meal, to Sustainable Table.

If you’re not the cooking type then you can eat at a range of restaurants around Melbourne including Half Moon, Proud Mary, Robert Burns Hotel, Longrain, Bimbo Deluxe, Lucky Coq, Botanical, Union Dining or Good Table.

As well as attending one of the restaurant events at either Morris Jones or Lamaro’s for a meal showcasing local, sustainable seafood and wines, with a percentage of profits donated to the cause.
