Features
Tradition is strong at the Wesley Anne. Originally a 19th-century church, this pub has served the many with its tempting ales and cosy, dark barnyard style.
The Wesley Anne is renowned for its soaring ceilings and resurrected-church-adorned interior including wine barrels, wagon wheels and a large wrought-iron chandelier that gives the bar a dim candle-lit glow.
With live music most nights there is plenty to enjoy; you can either get comfortable for a while in the band room, unwind in the beer garden with its roaring open fire or sit out front and watch passersby.
The candle-lit bar at the Wesley Anne is an alluring sight, as is the extensive list of local wine and beer on offer. The dinner menu is hearty; with items such as a beef and Guinness pie with a side of garlic mash, pork sausages and chargrilled lamb rump, though there are certainly dishes for the less meat inclined too.
