Features
Fergus is run by Elisa Horan, a former MasterChef contestant, and her husband, Pat Horan, a coffee guy who began his journey with a coffee cart called Bean on the Run. Fergus opened in 2012, enlivening an otherwise quiet strip on Wattletree Road.
Just like your favourite family recipes, Fergus’s food isn’t too complicated. Whether it’s smashed avo served with chilli jam, or pumpkin, corn and coriander fritters, cosiness and comfort is the Fergus philosophy.
Coffee is important in this family. The custom blend is made with The Maling Room. Opt for a Vietnamese style iced coffee with condensed milk if you’re after something sweet in the warmer months.
Fergus is named after Elisa’s late grandfather and also stocks wine from Leeuwin Estate, which he helped to establish. Enjoy a glass inside the welcoming and warm space of whitewashed brick and wooden tables, or in the spacious, green courtyard.
