When you walk into Phillippa’s bakery and provisions store, the roll of brown parchment adorning the opposite wall proudly states what any customer is likely to think: “Nanna would feel at home here”. From the sweet smell of buttery pastries to the spicy aroma of homemade chutneys and jams, Phillippa’s promises to provide you with delicious products.

With shelves bursting with homemade preserves and baskets laden with biscuits and French loaves, it is easy to see why Phillippa’s remains so close to the hearts of many food enthusiasts. Having opened its wholesale bakery in Richmond in 1999, Phillippa’s French-inspired delicacies and breads continue to stand prized in restaurants, cafes, delis and farmers markets across Australia.

Pop in for breakfast and indulge in a croissant or pastry. Head in at lunchtime and tuck into a seasonal silverbeet, roast capsicum and ricotta tart, sausage roll or vegetarian pastie dipped in their fruit or tomato chutney. For afternoon tea try a Victoria sponge cake, or be tempted by a slice of one of the ten lemon tarts.
