8Days is the first hospitality venture of Ruaraidh Gunn, a former professional royal tennis player. It's named after what Gunn sees as the optimum time wait before grinding coffee beans after roasting. At 8Days cafe, the beans are roasted by Five Senses then ground by the 8Days team, eight days later when they "peak".

Priding themselves on a smart concept, fit-out and locale, 8Days is simple and streamlined. It's open for breakfast and lunch every day, as well as dinner three nights a week (Thursday to Saturday). The food is made using top-quality organic and free-range produc. Highlights include the duck and brandy chipolata sausages with bubble and squeak, poached egg and a spiced tomato relish, and martini cured salmon with salted cucumber, Bloody Mary salsa and lavosh.

Located in Armadale, 8Days provides a lively spot to read the paper with coffee in hand before indulging in a spot of shopping on the plush High Street strip.
