Just two weeks after the closure of West End nightspot Supermild, Adelaide basement bar Propaganda Club has gone into liquidation.

The lavish, late night supper club from former Zhivago owners Petar and Wendy Belosevic opened last June with a 55-seater lounge, three bars and formal dining from dusk til dawn.

But the club’s five night per week trade gradually dwindled to three and opening hours were brought forward to 3am (midnight on Thursdays).

“Unfortunately, the business has not been able to generate the level of turnover and ongoing support from clientele required for it to succeed,” owner Wendy told The Advertiser.

A series of court judgments found more than $30,000 in outstanding debts were owed to suppliers, the paper reports.
