Catherine Day at The NGV
Tuesday October 6 is Catherine Day at The NGV, inviting all Catherines to enjoy free entry to Masterpieces from the Hermitage: The Legacy of Catherine the Great.
Catherines, Katherines, Kates, Katies, Cathys (even those with the royal middle name) can enjoy over 500 works from the personal collection of Catherine the Great, including pieces from Rembrandt, Velasquez, Rubens and Titian. All for free. Ah, the perks of association.
Catherine Andrews (wife of Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews) will lead a grand procession of Catherines into the exhibition, at 10.30am, for a commemorative photo of the great gathering. And don't worry if you can't make it down in the morning; Catherines view for free all day, from 10am–5pm.
So, Catherines, come one, come all - and celebrate the greatest Catherine of them all.
