Originally an important meeting point for the Wurundjeri people, from 1863 to 1975 the Abbotsford Convent housed female orphans under the rule of Sisters of The Good Shepherd, before becoming the site of La Trobe University in the late '80s.

Now, the convent is one of Melbourne's most active cultural hubs, hosting countless markets, exhibitions, films, music events and festivals.

Feminine Fortitude is an art installation paying homage to the strong female characters that have called the convent home, expressed via a visual fashion history and modern photographs.

7.30am–10pm in Little Ironing Room, Sacred Heart
