The Wolf The Bean The Walnut isn’t your traditional lunchtime or breakfast cafe. Created to bring healthy food to the nine-to-five working crowd, it’s one of the few places of its type.

All the meals and treats are made on-site by chef Sander Cummings from locally sourced produce. Each day the display cases are stocked with sushi, wraps, soups, granola and salads before the lunch rush hits.

While the space is mostly geared for takeaway, there’s plenty of seating inside, including comfy low couches and higher stools. As you might expect, these spots can be tough to nab around the middle of the day, when hungry workers mob Arcade 800.

Once you’re finished with your meal, there’s a range of baked goods which take into account diets such as vegan, raw, paleo, dairy-, gluten- and refined sugar-free. It’s a tough customer who can’t find something to suit them.

Throw in a “red espresso” (a caffeine-free rooibos extraction) or a cold-pressed juice made by local juice masters Pressed Earth, and you’re bound to have an energy packed day.
