Here it is: Falls Festival’s 2019 line-up. Picking a New Year’s Eve party just got a bit more difficult.

Perhaps unsurprising, given her slip of the tongue speaking to Nova back in May, American singer Halsey will headline the festival for the second time. To make it extra special, the Without Me singer’s Falls shows will be her only Australian appearances.

Also sharing top billing are indie-rock royalty Vampire Weekend from New York, who’ve received solid reviews for their recently released fourth album, Father of the Bride.

Coming in hot on their heels are UK chart-toppers Disclosure. It’s been almost seven years since the electronic duo released their huge single Latch, and this time they’re coming in on the back of working with American singer Khalid on the breezy track Talk.

Locals to catch include Thelma Plum, multi-instrumentalist G Flip (who by Falls time will be likely riding the wave of her debut album), punk-rockers Amyl and the Sniffers, and Vera Blue.

Each Falls location will also host its own one-off special guest. Byron Bay will get a visit from Tash Sultana, What So Not will show up in Lorne, Wolfmother will shred Marion Bay, and Matt Corby will make Fremantle swoon.

And then there’s the nostalgia set. In 2017 Daryl Braithwaite performed Horses, and in 2018 Toto blessed the rains down in Africa. This year, John Farnham’s going to belt out You’re the Voice.

Also new this year is the Time to Pay service, which allows festival-goers to pay off their ticket in convenient instalments. The option will be available at check-out when general tickets go on sale at 9am on Wednesday, August 14. (Pre-sale tickets go on sale at 9am on Monday, August 12.)

Falls Festival runs from December 28 to 31 in Lorne (Victoria), December 29 to 31 in Marion Bay (South Australia), December 31 to January 2 in Byron Bay (NSW), and January 4 and 5 in Fremantle (WA).
