Paul van Deurse, a gardener with more than 25 years’ experience, is behind this rambling indoor-outdoor nursery. It stocks everything an apartment or inner-city home could ever need in the way of greenery: fruit trees, hanging plants, orchids, cacti, succulents, herbs and a full range of pots, soils, fertilisers and so on. The on-site cafe, The Smug Fig, is run by different owners but makes this a prime weekend destination.
