There will be lengthy delays for commuters this evening after a police incident on the Riverside Expressway.

The Brisbane Times reports that police were called to the Ann Street on-ramp of the expressway around 2pm today. Traffic remained closed in both directions until 3.30pm.

The Courier Mail reports that a man has been taken to hospital after an incident at the intersection of North Quay and Ann Street. No further details are known.

At the time of writing, North Quay remains closed between Herschel and Adelaide streets, with the Ann Street on-ramp also still closed.

Inbound traffic on the Pacific Motorway was being diverted along Stanley Street in South Bank, and Translink says commuters can expect hour-long delays on all CBD bus routes, with buses unable to reach the affected areas.
