Broadsheet’s Bartender Masterclasses

Beginning this week, we’ll be offering you the chance to attend a series of all expenses paid cocktail masterclasses. Together with Schweppes, and hosted by bartender Dave Kerr, we’ll be travelling to a few of our favourite watering holes to mix and shake drinks with some of Australia’s finest.

You will learn how to whip up bar-quality drinks, garner some essential bartender tips and, most importantly, learn how to create and enjoy quality cocktails properly. Whether ordering from a bar, mixing yourself a nightcap at home or hosting a party, you’ll be using the knowledge from these classes for many nights to come.

Kicking off with some Spanish-influenced drinks at The Carrington, then moving onto some classic summer cocktails at The Sailors Club and concluding with some modern options at the American and Asian-inspired Santa Barbara, these masterclasses aren’t just designed to educate. They’re also meant to provide you with an opportunity to experience the workings of a real bar environment, alongside some dedicated bartenders who live their lives to entertain night in and night out.

Each bar will be offering classes involving cocktails of different styles and iterations, so make sure you select a venue suitable to you. Get involved, get your hands dirty and bring your friends along, because who doesn’t like drinking cocktails?
