I'm Your Man

Taking place in a boxing gym, a space where dreams are made and destroyed and inspiration is written on the walls, I’m Your Man is an intimate portrayal of the lives and journeys of those involved in the boxing industry. Director, Roslyn Oades followed a determined young boxer from Western Sydney, for 18 months, during his preparation for a world title fight. Oades recorded interviews with those she met along the way, including up-and-comers, failed contenders and people whose lives have been changed by the fight game. The performance uses a unique technique called headphone verbatim with each performer receiving an audio script through headphones throughout the performance.

A gripping production full of energy and testosterone, I'm Your Man is a visceral theatrical experience that will enthral and shock with its depiction of a pugilist's lifestyle.
