Camp Cove is one of Sydney's most enviable city beaches. It also served as the inspiration behind the name of a popular Melbourne rock band.
Sitting plum in the southern part of the Sydney Harbour national park, the views toward the city skyline are postcard-worthy. Beneath the water’s surface, the views are just as panoramic. It’s crystal clear, and not unusual to spot the odd bit of marine life cruising around – just make sure you have the right gear.
To make a day of it, the ferry ride from Circular Quay to Watsons Bay Wharf is a spectacular one. And the Watsons Bay Hotel (a great spot for a light refreshment or two) is just a short walk from there.
