This slice of harbour-side heaven is, thankfully, shark-free. It’s also a frisbee-throw away from Nielsen Park in Vaucluse, with city views comparable to those found at nearby city beaches Redleaf and Camp Cove.

Grand old figs dot the grassy parkland leading up to the bay, but you can also take shelter beneath one of three large pergolas when the UV's high. Or just retreat altogether to the reliably good parkside cafe, The Nielsen. Altogether, it makes for one of the city’s best recreation areas.
