For one night in May, Broadsheet is curating Aotearoa Awaits – a portal to New Zealand in the heart of Sydney. We’ve partnered with Tourism New Zealand to showcase a microcosm of New Zealand's cultural, musical and artistic offering and what’s new ahead of traveling across the Tasman.
Happening on Thursday May 26, from 6 – 9pm across Paramount House Hotel’s Golden Age Cinema & Bar and Paramount Recreation Club, attendees will experience all things New Zealand, as the Surry Hills venue transforms into an exclusive immersive experience.
To celebrate, we’re giving you the chance to soak up all New Zealand has to offer, with 30 double passes to Aotearoa Awaits up for grabs.
The evening will feature a Māori welcome, before punters head to the rooftop for wines curated by New Zealand-wine guru Max Walker of Paranormal Wines in Canberra, and snacks by New Zealand-born chef Amber Doig (The Butler) utilising native New Zealand ingredients. Elsewhere, experience the sounds, tastes and smells of a night out in Auckland with speciality drinks and snacks by Auckland’s wine bar and neo-bistro Bar Celeste, live art by Wellington-based musician-anthropologist and rising pop producer Estere and DJ sets from Melbourne-based, Wellington-born Natalie Ex.
Expect artistic influences by Whanganui-born visual artist and storyteller Jade Townsend and many other Kiwi-related surprises.
To win a double pass, all you have to do is register below. Winners will be selected a few days beforehand with details to attend.
Entries close 23:00 on Thursday 19 May 2022. Terms and conditions apply.
