Features
This historic art deco pub in Surry Hills has undergone a revamp in recent years. Acquired by hospitality barons Merivale in 2010, its modern Italian trattoria bistro – complete with feature wall of terrariums – serves up everything from homemade pappardelle, wood fired pizzas and grilled rib eye with rosemary potatoes and bowls of fries.
Share a jug of icy Pimms Cooler or try one of The Beresford’s signature cocktails like the Ghettoblaster (citrus vodka, Cointreau, Creme de Peche liqueur, apple juice and passion fruit). Take it out to the cobblestoned, lantern-clad beer garden draped with Japanese maples.
The Beresford is an ideal spot for a long, relaxed Sunday lunch, a casual midweek dinner with friends or a cocktail over the weekend.
There are daily lunch specials from $10, happy hour every day from 5pm to 7pm and live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
