Menu - Mr Yum

Since 1921, The Norfolk Hotel has lived many lives, from a local boozer sporting beer-soaked carpets to a grungy dive bar with an American-style seafood restaurant. These days, the storied 100-year-old establishment is living its best life yet as a neighbourhood watering hole with boutique accommodation, a bottle shop and Spanish-inspired wine bar next door.

The pub is split into multiple spaces, with options for both indoor and outdoor dining, and private soirees in the lounge upstairs. But, as ever, the public bar up front is where you’ll find cheery, fun-loving people on both sides of the beer taps. That good cheer invariably spreads to the rest of the venue as the night kicks on and the leafy back courtyard fills up with punters. Head out here for DJs every Saturday.

If you’ve pulled in for a meal, The Norfolk is all about modern Australian pub grub. Start with some woodfired peppers with anchovies and capers, followed by a classic parmie, a burger, or a Southern Ranges steak from the dedicated grill section.

Bottomless brunches are served on weekends, plus there are food and drink specials throughout the week. Taco Tuesdays are a highlight, where all tacos are $1 for 15 minutes when the staff ring the bell.

Unlike most pubs in the area, you can crash at this one – provided there’s vacancy at the pub’s four-bed accommodation. Choose between one of two queen- or king-sized rooms, each equipped with MCM House furniture, French linen, smart TVs and Grown Alchemist body and skincare products.
