Features
MV Bistro & Wine Bar is a place for long, relaxed afternoons filled with good conversation, and even better wine. The venue’s list runs just short of 100 wines, with Italian, French and Australian bottles to complement the dining menu.
If you’re lucky, you’ll nab the best seats in the house; by the window, overlooking Crown Street. Otherwise, settle in along the leather banquette opposite the bar under the forgiving, first-date-friendly lighting.
Owners Rhaad Fogerty and Aaron Le Saux purchased the former business, Mille Vini (Italian for "a thousand wines"), and rebranded it as MV Bistro & Wine Bar in 2017. The menu has widened its geographical outlook since then, but Italian cuisine remains a strong influence on the menu. Alongside pastas and risotto, there are dishes such as chowder, venison tartare and white anchovies with tomato and basil.
