The Stables Co-op Retail
The retail space of multi-level The Stables Co-op, a complex modeled in part on the traditional department store, is just one facet of The Stables Co-Op on Bourke Street
As fans of The Stables D.S. Co-op in Bondi have come to expect, carefully handpicked brands are the stars of this store, including a number of exclusives: Officine Generale, Pierre Maheo’s young label inspired by classically tailored workwear; luxury sneaker house Common Projects for Women; vintage-inspired Edith A. Miller; and Lizzie Owens’ menswear label Highland.
Other brands featured in store include jewellery designer Toby Jones, Australian-based Whillas & Gunn, and Bassike, the purveyors of must-have staple pieces.
Award-wining Sydney furniture designer Henry Wilson, who also worked on the Gould Street store, is responsible for the store’s minimalist fit-out.
