Pure and General
Just near Erskineville Station, you’ll find hidden treasure in the form of Pure and General. The homewares store is directed by Linda Gregoriou (known for her work as a property developer, urban designer and ex-judge on the ABC’s New Inventors).
It’s hard to focus on any one product, as carefully sourced items from as far as Morocco, London, Paris, Japan, New York, Spain and Sweden all jostle for your attention. You’ll find that most of the products – the crockery, linens and furniture – are as beautiful as they are functional, but there are also plenty of purely indulgent, must-have items including great sculptural pieces and one-off artworks.
Many of the covetable pieces are specially commissioned and with the team offering an interior decorating service too, it’s a one-stop shop for a décor overhaul.
You won’t find a range like this anywhere else in Australia. Among the ever-changing line-up of textures, colours and unique artworks, there’s a price point to suit every taste and lifestyle.
We do not seek or accept payment from the cafes, restaurants, bars and shops listed in the Directory – inclusion is at our discretion. Venue profiles are written by independent freelancers paid by Broadsheet.
