After five years in Marrickville, Plantgirl relocated to Enmore in 2022. Specialising in lush, low-maintenance plants and brightly coloured ceramics, this place aims to empower new plant parents to find joy and confidence in plant care, selling “hard-to-kill” plants such as devil’s ivy, heartleaf philodendron, Monstera Deliciosa and the Zanzibar gem.

Owner Felicity Keep usually suggests devil’s ivy or Zanzibar gem for a complete beginner. But personally, she loves the sansevieria moonshine and the heartleaf philodendron. Occasionally you’ll spy rarer plants on the Plantgirl shelves, like the “Curly Sue” epiphyllum, which has eye-catching thick, curly foliage.

But otherwise, Keep’s petite store is a jungle of foliage. Smaller plants and watering cans hang from the roof and line the shelves, while larger options sit on the floor. Brightly coloured and patterned ceramic pots are stacked around the room, while a sign tells patrons which plants are pet-friendly.
