Made-to-measure menswear label Mister Mister has its first retail headquarters at Sydney’s Strand Arcade. The tailor sees the value in the whole experience over more immediate shopping satisfaction. Patience and persistence pay off for pieces that are in the end distinctive and inimitable. Originally only operating its bespoke service out of a showroom in The Rocks, this refined retail setting is intimate and carries through Mister Mister’s individual, sharp and very sophisticated aesthetic.

Inside, garments hang from warm, American walnut shelving by Sydney-based outfit A.B. Projects. Mister Mister also does made-to-measure denim. It sources fabric from small denim suppliers to create a range of options. Clients get to be involved in the process much like having a made-to-measure suit made for them. The denim is primarily Japanese raw selvedge – the tailors at Mister Mister like the idea of you breaking in your own pair, and that can take time. There is also a footwear collection made in Spain.
