Found on busy Victoria Road, Mint Condition is a treasure trove of vintage delights for women. Pieces range from the 1950s to 1980s and are all original and hand selected by owner Wendy, who has spent years scouring markets across Sydney and the United States.

The quality is outstanding – it’s not often that you find a shop that is as accurately named as this one. Open since 2006, away from the usual vintage haunts of Crown Street and King Street, it’s been at the head of the vintage revival that has swept Sydney since.

The prices vary depending on the quality and rarity of the pieces. Exquisite 1950s ball gowns sit between $200 and $300, but there are many bargains to be found here too, with sundresses and tops from the 1980s for $100 and less.

Clothes are divided up by era, colour and style, making it easy to find what you are looking for – quite a contrast to the usual, all too often overwhelming, vintage shopping experience.
