Features
Designer Magali Pascal’s first Australian store is on the exclusive strip of The Intersection in Paddington. Pascal is a Paris-born and trained designer whose eponymous label distils the essence of French style.
The store itself reimagines the pared-back intimacy of a small Parisian apartment. At its centre is a mid-century lamp by the legendary French minimalist Serge Mouille.
For Pascal, the “bourgeois boheme” of Parisian women translates effortlessly to the relaxed yet polished style of Australian women. But having spent a lot of time in Sydney, our style and way of life has inversely influenced her approach. The result: more colour, more print and lighter, sheerer fabrics that can be carried off at both the beach and bar.
