Le Creuset
Features
Known for their distinctive cast iron and enamel casserole dishes, handmade in France since 1925, Le Creuset’s range of vibrant hues adds a stunning aesthetic tinge to the cooking experience, and they've finally opened in Sydney.
“We have an enthusiastic team who can’t wait to…welcome local food lovers who share our passion for cooking,” says Guy Rawstorne, director of the company’s Australian arm.
“Le Creuset is a cook’s dream and makes the perfect partner for quick, everyday cooking as well as for special occasions and entertaining.”
The new Sydney branch is Australia’s first standalone Le Creuset store and offers the expansive range, which includes a sprawling selection of other kitchen essentials, under one roof – and in every shade the brand offers.
The interiors at the refurbished King Street space are the work of British architecture group Leckenby Associates and are deliberately neutral to allow the iconic colours of the Le Creuset range to work their magic – from volcanic orange to coastal blue and Dijon yellow.
There’s even a chandelier made entirely of Le Creuset tagine lids and paper installation art by Samantha Gazel, commissioned to launch the store. It furthers Le Creuset’s contention that cookware can indeed by artful.
