The Ksubi boys have been turning up the fashion tempo since their 2002 international debut in a way most designers could only dream of. From releasing rats on runways to pushing models overboard, it’s safe to say the Sydney duo have enticed, aroused and surprised us with moments sure to be cemented in the history of Australian fashion.

Their annual artist collaboration Big in Japan – showcased in both Melbourne and Sydney – sees the label curate a selection of Japan’s most creative types working across multiple platforms including contemporary dance, live music, video and art installation.

It’s no surprise the homegrown label has rapidly grabbed the attention of designers and celebrities alike. But perhaps what sets the brand apart most is the eccentric and innovative shopping experience it offers, with each store encompassing a classic Ksubi warehouse-feel, with low lighting and a rustic sculptural interior.

Best known for their signature spray-on jeans, the brand has quickly grown into an empire in its own right. With an eyewear range, impressive blog (Sex and Fashion) and a collaboration with American cosmetic brand Kiehl’s, who knows what these guys will have for us next.
