HAY Shop believes great design can come at an affordable price. The brand was founded in Denmark in 2002 by Rolf and Mette Hay.

Richard Munao of Cult Design is a long-time partnered with the brand, stocking HAY products in Cult showrooms across Australia and New Zealand. He’s also behind Australia’s first HAY store.

Similar to the flagship store in Copenhagen, the Sydney location features an open-plan layout spread over two floors. The ground floor offers accessories, from lighting and textiles, to stationery and glassware.

The brand creates contemporary design that combines good ideas, innovative technology and quality materials. It has worked with some of the world’s most talented, curious and courageous designers. The Sydney store stocks the same mix of established and emerging designers as its Copenhagen counterpart, including Bouroullecs, Scholten & Baijing, Stefan Diez and Bertjan Pot.

The store also features pieces from HAY’s sister brand, Wrong for HAY. Designed under the creative direction of London-based designer, Sebastian Wrong, Wrong for HAY is an eclectic collection of furniture, lighting and accessories inspired by the idiosyncratic joy of London.

The HAY aesthetic is joyful, uncomplicated and colourful, something you'll notice from the moment you set foot in the store.
