The Artisan Butcher first opened its doors in 2012. It’s been a go-to Potts Point local since. With a clean and crisp aesthetic it showcases the real spectacle – the produce.

Varying coloured sausages dangle from meat hooks, next to a window displaying carcasses ready to be cut to order. Jars of preserves, oils, sauces, dried goods and marinated vegetables line the walls. A glass cabinet houses an array of foreign and local cheeses, Italian salamis, meat and poultry.

Owners Nick and Rosie Roth took over in 2016, after moving from Mudgee. They added some country charm, as well as a range of award-winning Mudgee products. They’re always eager to share knowledge and advice for the produce they sell, be it how to get the best out of a piece of Wagyu or what to do with quail.

After hours, the shop opens its doors for cheese and wine tastings as well as butchery classes, where you can learn to break down an animal into various cuts.
