Features
The space and white timber in The Academy Brand’s stand-alone store in Paddington has a calming effect. The big space means full embodiment of the brand’s easy-going, American-vintage aesthetic mixed with preppy undertones and Aussie spirit.
The Academy Brand’s focus on casual, quality designs for the man who doesn’t want to try too hard to look good is well showcased. A custom-made chino bar here, a simple display of board shorts there and more chambray shirts than Paul Newman could shake a stick at.
Planted in between are covetable accessories and grooming products from other Australian and international designers including Local Supply sunglasses, Sunnylife towels, Spring Court sneakers and Baxter of California pomades and soaps.
Vintage furnishings, industrial light fittings, nautical touches, plants and old Penguin Classics ensure there’s something to eye up at every turn.
