Stuffed Beaver Crows Nest
Nearly eight years after Stuffed Beaver opened on Bondi Road – and introduced Sydneysiders to Canadian delicacies such as poutine and Bloody Caesars (a version of a Bloody Mary that includes clamato juice) – Beaver opened in Crows Nest in early 2018.
Like the original, it’s all about letting the good times roll, especially if you have a penchant for beers and sports. The venue is fitted out with bar stools and booths – all of which have a prime view of the 120-inch purpose-built flat screen that broadcasts NFL, NBA and UFC, as well as NRL and AFL.
As well as a range of local craft-beer options, the Stuffed Beaver serves Marrickville’s Philter on tap and collaborated with Philter Brewery to create a bespoke lager designed especially for the bar, the Beaver Brew.
The party vibe is echoed on the North American-inspired menu, which includes hotdogs, tacos, nachos and the Stuffed Beaver Wings smothered in barbeque sauce and served with ranch dressing.
Stuffed Beaver was one of Sydney’s first places to offer poutine – fries covered in gravy and clumps of melted cheese curd.
Patrons are invited to donate pre-loved bric-a-brac or vintage paraphernalia to furnish the walls – just as they did at the Bondi original. Donations to date include a range of 1980s skateboards and a Mongoose BMX.
We do not seek or accept payment from the cafes, restaurants, bars and shops listed in the Directory – inclusion is at our discretion. Venue profiles are written by independent freelancers paid by Broadsheet.
