Ribs & Burgers
Just in case you thought the Grosvenor Street eating precinct in Neutral Bay was getting all fancy, this casual eatery has shaken things up. Ribs & Burgers is fast food without the trash. Opened in early October 2011, there’s a lot of love going into these burgers, from hand-rolled buns to beautiful presentation on wooden serving boards. With their retro butcher aesthetic, hand-pressed patties and free-range, hormone-free meat, it's easy to taste the difference.
The décor is pretty tasteful too, think jam jar lights, displays of fresh produce, an array of vintage meat grinders and sauce bottles neatly handed out in teapot billycans. You can even have your say in what’s good by voting with your taste buds, with diners encouraged to share their own recipe for ‘Burger of the Month’ (the B.O.T.M. – yep we giggled too).
To avoid menu envy, try the trio of mini burgers for a taste of the beef, lamb and chicken, or get finger-lickin’ with eight-hour charred and basted ribs. And while a side of simple ‘slaw is tasty, the onion rings are winning fans all over.
