Folding napkins since the age of 10 has paid off for the Allouche boys. Marc, Nathan, Blake and Adam followed in their fathers’ footsteps when they took over Cronulla’s iconic Sealevel restaurant in 2012. Their dads have more than 40 years’ experience in the industry, and with Sealevel celebrating its 20th year, the boys have a lot to live up to.

Since opening in October 2016, Next Door (guess where it’s located?) has offered a more causal dining experience than Sealevel, but with the same restaurant-quality service.

It also shares the stunning ocean view. The natural landscape is amplified and brought inside via a large al fresco area. A vertical garden covers a feature wall inside. Folding glass doors enclose the outdoor seating when the weather is unpleasant.

The all-day brunch menu features a few signature dishes. Sweet and savoury are both covered for breakfast, with the falafel eggs or Instagram-worthy waffles. For lunch, we recommend the spaghettini with prawns.

On Fridays and Saturdays (and Sundays during daylight savings) Next Door is also open as a wine bar, with an up-to-date list featuring more than a dozen by-the-glass options. Evening dishes are designed to share, the most notable being an impressive cheese and meat board served on a marble platter.
