Mrs Palmer Sandwich
Anthony McFarlane and Alfredo Perez wanted to open a sandwich shop with a focus on big, made-to-order classics executed well. Mrs Palmer Sandwich does just that. The selection features a couple of mainstays alongside inventive, rotating specials. The highlight is The Cure: a three-meat beast of smoked Wagyu pastrami, mortadella and hot salami. Build-your-own salads are also available for those abstaining from bread.
The shop is tiny – just a counter, with a couple of benches and stools on the terrace’s front veranda, and a couple more low tables with milk crates for seats on the footpath.
At night, the Margarita and taco bar takes centre stage. It's a low-lit mishmash of design influences from deceased estates, garage sales, and Pinterest. There are several Margarita flavors to choose from, as well as a rotating list of tab beers, craft tinnies, and wines to satisfy non-cocktail drinkers.
