Opening Soon
Much-loved old-school Italian institution, Sotto Sopra in Sydney’s northern beaches will soon be taken over by Kylie and Doug Fraser of Suburbia in Manly and previously, Barbuto in Narrabeen – and relaunched as Lovat.
The brief for Lovat is "modern Australian brasserie", which leaves plenty of scope in terms of genre and cuisine. If Fraser’s Korean eggplant ‘parmigiana’ (which supposedly converted eggplant-haters into enthusiasts when it was on the menu at Suburbia) is anything to go by, expect similar inventiveness to be on full display at Lovat.
Lovat is due to open in the second half of 2019.
