A vegan restaurant in a historical Australian pub is unusual. But Bhavani Baumann and Sacha Joannou are happy to shake things up with their vegan restaurant, which will open upstairs at Rozelle’s Red Lion Hotel. Fittingly named The Green Lion, it will offer vegan takes on traditional pub meals. From fish and chips and “not dogs”, to vegan Big Macs. Every dish will be cruelty-free and plant-based.

Rose Markcrow, head chef of Sadhana Kitchen helped to design the menu and will be in the kitchen two nights a week. Raw Vine Estate, a wine company specialising in vegan blends is supplying the wine.
