Fabbrica Pasta Bar Darlinghurst

Fabbrica Pasta Bar is the sequel to Love Tilly Group’s popular deli, wine store and by-the-gram pasta shop in the CBD. This 80-seat spot serves all the Fabbrica favourites, and a wine list that’s big on Italian and Australian drops from the minimal-intervention realm.

Expect around six pasta shapes on the menu (all handmade at the group’s Marrickville production site), including that spaghetti cacio e pepe. When Broadsheet visited, other highlights were tonnarelli with blue swimmer crab and chilli, and a generously crusted cotoletta alla Milanese served with the bone.

The group has retained the old A Tavola site’s neighbourhood charm – including its defining 18-seat communal table up the front, a lively space out the back and a private dining room upstairs.
