The deli offshoot of the Pitt St restaurant of the same name, Encasa Deli creates little Spanish delights in the heart of the city.
The specialty - and lunchtime favourite - bocadillos, are Spanish baguettes (sliced longways) which are filled with anything from omelette to roast pork leg. We recommend the zingy (and, yet, balanced) combination of white anchovies, piquillo pepper and roast-garlic aioli: the Boquerone. For those with a sweet tooth, the Sobrasada and its meaty-sweety balance might be more on point: sobrasada & queso fresco drizzled with honey.
Most of the bocadillos ring up at $10 or under, so both wallet and stomach will be happy.
The deli even offers online ordering, so hungry city-dwellers can have their Spanish sandwich ready in no time.
