The Rockpool team’s new restaurant 24 York is dedicated to one thing only: steak frites. Taking cues from Parisian bistro Le Relais de l’Entrecôte – which has famously served only steak frites for more than six decades – 24 York is set to open in the former Bavarian site in Sydney’s CBD.

Here, diners will get the same MB2+ scotch fillet served at Rockpool for at $48 and served with your choice of sauce: chimichurri, peppercorn, mushroom or umami butter. Add a green salad and finish with a cheesecake tart for dessert.

The kitchen will be lead by Rockpool’s executive chef Santiago Aristizabal alongside support from Hunter St Hospiltaily groups’ other culinary directors, Andy Evans and Shimpei Hatanaka.

24 York opens on 24 York Street, Sydney on July 23, 2025.
